If you've always wondered how soap is made, this 2-hour introductory class will teach you the basics of cold process soap making, including ingredients and materials needed, safety procedures, basic formulation theory, coloring and scenting your soap, cutting and curing, and problems that may arise during the soap making process. Each student will make a small batch of soap ($32 value) with my supervision and take the soap home with instructions on curing and cutting the next day.

We will use plant-based oils to make your soap, and you can choose from three essential oil scents: Lavender, Peppermint + Orange, or Lemongrass + Grapefruit (please let me know which scent you want in the comments section at checkout or you can opt to keep it unscented). Natural clays and botanicals will be available for coloring your soap and decorating the tops.

The class is held in a private residence in Upland, CA (address provided in confirmation email after payment is received) and is limited to five students per session. All students must be over the age of 18, and a Release of Liability Waiver must be signed by each student before class commences.

Please come to class wearing closed toe shoes and close fitting long sleeves. I will provide eye protection, gloves, aprons & all your sudsy ingredients.
